    The Problem We Solve

Most organizations don't have a people problem. They have a systems problem.

After 35 years working inside businesses of every size and industry, BSG International identified four structural barriers that keep good people from doing great work. These aren't personality failures — they're gaps in the organization's foundation that can be identified, addressed, and permanently fixed.

    Barrier 01

    Fear of Expression

People hold back ideas, avoid raising problems, and stay quiet — because the environment doesn't feel safe enough to speak up.

    Barrier 02

    Lack of Communication

Information doesn't move reliably. Departments work in silos. The same misunderstandings happen over and over.

    Barrier 03

    Lack of Written Procedure

Work gets done differently depending on who you ask. There's no shared, written standard — so consistency is impossible.

    Barrier 04

    Lack of Formal Training

Training is sporadic, verbal, and not tied to the actual job. People do their best but never get a real foundation to build on.

Not sure which barrier is costing you the most?

Take our free assessment — it takes about five minutes and shows you exactly where your organization or leadership is breaking down.

    What We Do

A curriculum your team learns, owns, and keeps.

SABS delivers BaseWork Systems™ — a structured program that builds quality infrastructure directly inside your organization. Think of it as building the operating manual your business has always needed, with your own people, during normal business hours. When we're done, the system belongs to you.

    What it is

Structured online curriculum (Phases 1–2) delivered over 26 months, with an Applied Business Science Certificate awarded by SABS upon completion.

    Who delivers it

About 20% of your team becomes Training Leadership — they learn the curriculum first, then teach it internally. Your people carry it forward permanently.

    What you walk away with

Documented BaseWork Centers, written procedures, a working knowledge system, and a team trained to sustain it — permanently.

Why we call it Quantum-Based Business Infrastructure™

Thirty-five years ago we built what we called Q Systems™. The "Q" stood for Quality. Today we recognize those systems were also quantum in nature: every person, process, agreement, and communication inside an organization is connected. When one breaks down, the whole system feels it. When you fix the connections, quality emerges from the organization itself — not from inspections or mandates.

    The Framework

Four pillars that turn principle into daily practice.

This isn't compliance training or a one-day seminar. Applied Business Science is a four-pillar framework where values guide behavior, ethics shape culture, systems ensure consistency, and the arts inspire empathy and innovation. No other quality framework includes all four.

    Foundational Values

Two rules guide everything: do what is morally right, and treat others as you wish to be treated. These become operational standards embedded in how your organization hires, communicates, and serves customers.

    Ethics

A practical decision-making framework, not a poster on the wall. SABS builds cultures that are self-correcting — where integrity is the default, not the exception.

    Business Practices

Values translated into daily operations through systems thinking, cross-training, and documented procedures — the discipline that makes improvement repeatable and sustainable.

    Foundational Arts

The creativity, empathy, and storytelling that drive real innovation. This pillar — often missing from quality frameworks — is what makes the system human, not just efficient.

    Why SABS

How we're different from EOS, Vistage, ISO, and traditional consultants.

Most frameworks improve a slice of the business and leave when the engagement ends. SABS builds infrastructure your people own — values, ethics, practices, and the Foundational Arts — and leaves it running long after we're gone.

    vs. EOS / Traction

    They

Operating system installed by an external Implementer. Focused on accountability, meetings, and quarterly rocks.

    SABS

A 26-month curriculum your own people learn and teach. We build the underlying infrastructure — not just the meeting cadence.

    vs. Vistage / Peer Advisory

    They

Monthly executive peer groups and 1:1 coaching for the leader at the top.

    SABS

Training Leadership is built across roughly 20% of your team, so improvement reaches every department — not just the corner office.

    vs. ISO / Quality Certifications

    They

Standards and audits that document what you do. Compliance focused. External certifying body.

    SABS

Quality emerges from the inside — through Foundational Values, Ethics, Business Practices, and the Foundational Arts. Your team writes and owns the procedures.

    vs. Traditional Consultants

    They

Outside experts arrive, deliver recommendations, present a deck, and leave. Knowledge walks out the door with them.

    SABS

We teach your people the methodology so the capability stays. When SABS leaves, the system keeps running because your team built it.

The Foundational Arts pillar — creativity, empathy, and storytelling — is the single element no other quality framework includes. It's what makes the system human, not just efficient.

    How It Works

Here's exactly what happens when you enroll.

The program is designed for organizations and individuals who are ready to build something real — not attend a seminar and forget it. Here's the progression, step by step, in plain terms.

STEP 01 · BEFORE YOU START

Choose your curriculum & set up your team

You select your starting curriculum (we recommend Phase 1–2 for new enrollees). About 20% of your team — all managers plus volunteers — becomes your Training Leadership. They receive a one-time enrollment seat. Everyone else is a Team Member.

    STEP 02 · MONTHS 1–26

    Training Leadership learns, then teaches

Training Leadership completes the online coursework (4–6 hrs/month) through our Digital Chalk platform. They then bring that training directly to their teams (2–4 hrs/month). A Steering Committee meets monthly to manage the program. Everything runs during normal business hours.

STEP 03 · ALONG THE WAY

    Your organization documents itself

As the program progresses, your team builds BaseWork Centers — written definitions of every role, process, and procedure in the organization. This is the living operating manual that stays with you permanently, regardless of turnover.

    STEP 04 · END OF MONTH 26

    Certification earned. Infrastructure built.

Upon completing Phases 1–2, your Training Leadership earns an Applied Business Science Certificate issued by SABS. Your organization has a documented, functioning quality system. Phases 3–7 are available to continue building. The work never stops — it just deepens.

    Training Leadership: 4–6 hrs/month·Team Members: 2–4 hrs/month·Steering Committee: 1 hr/month·Delivery: Online · On-site · Blended

This website enrolls organizations and individuals into Phases 1–2 of a 7-phase curriculum. Phases 3–7 and additional modules are available after consultation.

    Our Origin & Philosophy

The workplace was always meant to be a place where people grow.

This program was never built to serve businesses first. It was built to serve people. More than 35 years ago, Bruce Snell began working inside organizations and kept finding the same thing: good people, regardless of their background or education level, were capable of far more than their circumstances suggested. What they lacked wasn't intelligence or character — they lacked structure, training, and the opportunity to grow.

As teams improved inside organizations, something unexpected happened: the skills transferred home. Communication improved family relationships. Planning skills reduced personal stress. Problem-solving built confidence. The same transferable skills that strengthened a business were strengthening people's lives.

"What if every organization became a University of Tomorrow? Not a campus. Not a collection of buildings. But a living university embedded within the organization itself — where learning and work exist together, where every person can continuously develop regardless of where they started."

This vision was written down after five years of working with a handful of clients — more than 35 years ago. Today, through Quantum-Based Business Infrastructure™ and the School of Applied Business Science, that vision is becoming reality. Every BaseWork Center™ is a learning center. Every employee is a Leader-of-One. Common sense becomes common practice.
